Dear Parents,
It’s hard to believe we’ve already been in school a whole month! The children are all doing such a great job adjusting to being big school kids! We are having a lot of fun in kindergarten!
WATER – Please be aware that there is no water fountain in our classroom, and with 24 students it’s just not possible to send your child into the hallway whenever they are thirsty. So, it’s very important that your child bring water to school every day, especially now that the weather is still so hot. I prefer that they bring their water in a plastic coffee travel mug (available at the dollar store). That way, if you add a few ice cubes, it won’t sweat water all over our tables.
In September, we move into a study of the classical world, and our essential question is “what is a family”. In language arts we will begin letter study, and in math we will continue working with composing and decomposing numbers up to 10.

¡Es difícil creer que ya hemos estado en la escuela un mes entero! ¡Los niños están haciendo un trabajo tan grande que se ajusta a ser niños grandes de la escuela! Nos estamos divirtiendo mucho en el jardín de infantes.
AGUA - Tenga en cuenta que no hay una fuente de agua en nuestro aula, y con 24 estudiantes no es posible enviar a su niño al pasillo siempre que tengan sed. Por lo tanto, es muy importante que su hijo traiga agua a la escuela todos los días, especialmente ahora que el clima sigue siendo tan caliente. Prefiero que traigan su agua en una taza plástica del viaje del café (disponible en la tienda del dólar). De esa manera, si agregas unos cubitos de hielo, no sudará agua por todas nuestras mesas.
En septiembre, nos adentramos en un estudio del mundo clásico, y nuestra pregunta esencial es "qué es una familia". En artes del lenguaje comenzaremos el estudio de cartas, y en matemáticas continuaremos trabajando con números de hasta 10.
